Ken Birkinshaw, Bamber Bridge, Preston: "I never thought that I'd stay on board the R.M.S. Queen Mary as well as visit Hollywood and Beverley Hills in Los Angeles or visit Buck Owens Crystal Palace Theatre in Bakersfield or the magnificent Hearst Castle, the legendary home of newspaper magnate, William Randolph Hearst. The views along the California coastline were quite breathtaking and the walk across the Golden Gate Bridge and back was exhilarating as could also be said of hanging off the cable cars in San Francisco before sampling the pleasures of Alcatraz. The Yosemite National Park has to be seen to be believed as is Death Valley before coming to the bright lights of Las Vegas. And all that was before a terrific week of country music at the C.M.A. Fest in Nashville ! Where to next year, Joe?" |

Yosemite National Park 2007 Janet Grieg, Kirkcaldy, Fife: Just a note to say a big thank you to you both for such a wonderful week in Nashville. I had a fantastic time.
Ernest Tubb Tour Bus - Music Valley Terry & Shirley Davey, Woolstanwood, Crewe: Thanks very much to you both for looking after us so well. Musical highlights: Jimmy Fortune (without a doubt!); Johnny Rodriguez; John Conlee; Hal Ketchum. Non-musical highlights: meeting Jerry Naylor; meeting the lion cub (at the Vegas MGM). P.S: I’m told to mention Alan Jackson as a highlight!
group with a private Concert at the Doubletree Hotel - Nashville 2007 Angela Arnold, Loxley, Sheffield: Just a quick note to say "Thanks" so much for the wonderful time we had in Nashville. You made everything perfect. We really enjoyed every day there and of course the weather helped to. Your organisation is so good I don't know how you do it!
Porter Wagoner & Marty Stuart perform at the Ryman Auditorium at the "Marty Stuart Jam" 2007
Margaret Carr, Galway, Ireland "Thank you all so much for a wonderful week in Nashville at Fan Fair. Everything was so well organised...It was perfect and you were all so polite and helpful" |
Win & Malc Marshall, Derby, Derbyshire: We are writing to say thanks for another great holiday. We feel that people are always quick to complain, but don't always praise when things go right. We always enjoy the options that you suggest; San Francisco was great & Yosemite National Park & Death Valley was something else, along with the surprise visit to Bakersfield. It really makes the holiday Special. Lionel & Jennifer Whaley, Stanground, Cambridgeshire: Just to say many thanks for helping us to have such a good time & a great holiday in Nashville. It is something we have wanted to do for a few years. We enjoyed the Festival especially the river front shows. On the whole we saw some great acts both at the festival and at other shows. We also enjoyed The 'Bars' where we picked out some of the youngsters singing old Country. Thanks to you both for making us feel welcome and for arranging the trips and shows, which we have no doubt was due to the hard work and planning by both of you. Neil Smith, Crossgates, Leeds Can I just say what a fantastic holiday I had in Nashville. Thank you for a well organised and enjoyable trip & for being there whenever I needed you. I had a great time and really enjoyed all of it. The choice of hotel in Nashville was excellent. The Doubletree was a real nice hotel with friendly staff & most importantly it was close to the River Side Concerts and the LP field, which was certainly a bonus as they were easy to walk to. Thanks again Joe & Carol, you are both the best hosts I have ever been with on an organised Tour Holiday and I have been on quite a lot. Bring on the 2008 Festival. Sandra & David Scarfe, Rochdale: Just a quick thank you to both you & Carol for another tremendous trip around USA. Words cannot possibly describe the QM2 voyage (even the fully paid up member of the moan about everything club couldn't find fault). Once again, the organisation and attention to detail was superb and with the added bonus of discovering the Buck Owens museum in Bakersfield and the organised fly past of the helicopter under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco as we walked over it left us wondering if there was anything left. Of course there was, we still had Yosemite & Death Valley to come. Then of course Nashville, with stars of the past and future to see live and drool over! Pity about the format for the stadium, but that is Nashville 2007 for you. Then of the course the live broadcast and being in the studio watching everything pan out, another first for us. Thanks again,
Bob Donovan & Shirley Taylor, Acton, Wrexham: Both myself & Shirley would like to thank you for the wonderful fortnight we've just had in Nashville. Neither of us had been there before but we were really looking forward to it & to say we were not disappointed would be an understatement. It was a great two weeks & we thoroughly enjoyed the CMA Festival as it is now known. I have to say the highlight for myself was seeing Alan Jackson but the whole atmosphere was unbelievable. We would like to thank both you & Carol, not only for the holiday, but for organising the couple of days out we had the second week & for the fact that you were on call 24/7. That in itself meant a great deal. Roger & Sandra Slinger, Preston, Lancashire: Many thanks once again for for a great holiday. Full of surprises and nothing is too much trouble. We really enjoyed the Radio Station visit. It was a brilliant experience as it was being broadcast back home. Once again thank you for all your hard work. Chris & Gill Turton, Stapleford, Nottingham: We wanted to say thanks very much for putting together another wonderful holiday. Queen Mary 2 was a fantastic experience & we really enjoyed the company of yourselves and Sandra & Dave. Here's to 2008, please keep us on the mailing list. Christine Hall, Acomb, York, North Yorkshire: Just a quick note to say thank you for everything you, Carol & Tony did for us during the trip. As usual you all went out of your way to make the holiday special for everyone.
Bob Hodgson & Spud Murphy, Liverpool: Joe, just to say that me and "Spud" Murphy thoroughly enjoyed our trip to nashville and we wish to thank you, Carol & Tony for looking after us. Frank Griffiths, Euxton, Chorley: Thank you both for yet another super holiday. Nashville 2007 was the first time in my life I have ever been on a holiday on my own. I confess to being more than a little apprehensive. Not with Joe Fish Country Tours I hasten to add; having been on several trips with you before I knew there was nothing to worry about there. But the flight and getting through Atlanta. How foolish I was, it was breeze. Thanks for another great holiday. Several years ago I wrote challenging you to "top that" for a holiday and every year since you seem to come up with something that does. All being well and if Almighty God keeps me here I'll be there in 2008.
